Great Bend Regional Hospital
Celebrates First Year with Water Birth
Congratulations to
Toni and Paul Lovett on the first water birth at
Great Bend RegionalHospital July 9th. She says... “everything went
exactly the way we outlined it in our birth plan.”
Samantha Lovett is her third child born in an underwater
environment. “At Great Bend Regional Hospital, we are
pretty open minded to most birth plans that moms want, our
nursing staff is very supportive of this technique,”
stated Dr. Roger Marshall, OBGYN. All four of
Great Bend
RegionalHospital’s Birthing Rooms are private
suites and have Jacuzzi tubs for the care and comfort of
the mother to be. Over the past 25 years water births have
become more popular. The procedure is promoted primarily
as a means of decreasing maternal discomfort.
