The University of Kansas Health System Great Bend Campus and St. Rose Medical Pavilion laboratories
offer comprehensive services and provide accurate and timely test results. Our lab team provides
services to those who are patients in the hospital and people who need lab services outside the hospital.

Lab results are typically available in 24-48 hours. Our highly trained team manages testing from the time
the sample is taken until the final results are in. Lab orders can be placed by authorized medical
professionals, including those from out of town. When the results are final, they will be sent to the
ordering medical professional. Additionally, many lab test results are available in MyChart for you to
review.

We also offer comprehensive blood bank services, with blood and blood products that are supplied by
the American Red Cross of Kansas in Wichita.

Common laboratory tests include:

• Chemistry profiles that screen for specific disease

• DOT and non-DOT drug screen collection

• Specialty profiles to screen for cancers, heart attacks, congestive heart failure and thyroid issues

• Complete bacteriology services to test for bacterial infections

• Screening for strep, flu, mono, RSV and pregnancy
