The University of Kansas Health System welcomes Maryann Hawkinson, APRN, a family practice nurse practitioner, to the care team at St. Rose Medical Pavilion. Here, she will work with Jonathan Pike, MD, and Micca Schneider, MD. Hawkinson has more than 20 years of experience at all levels of nursing.
She looks forward to serving the Great Bend community. One of her former nursing students recommended she apply for a position in Great Bend, she says. Today, Hawkinson is happy to be in a position where she is involved in preparing treatment plans and planning care for her patients.
Hawkinson enjoys working in family practice where she has the opportunity to get to know her patients and she can make sure they understand their care needs. “Every patient is an opportunity to learn,” she said.
