The University of Kansas Health System is pleased to announce the addition of two members to its orthopedic care team at Central Kansas Orthopedic Group – Matthew Vopat, MD, orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, and physician assistant Jessica Onken.
Dr. Vopat is looking forward to getting to know the Great Bend community. He earned his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita and completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Steadman-Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colorado.
Dr. Vopat joins Thomas Dagg, MD, Wade Babcock, PA-C, and Jake Thompson, DPT, in providing sports medicine care.
Onken chose to specialize in orthopedics because of her background in sports, including playing collegiate volleyball. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant from Wichita State University.
