Support Group Helps With Grief After Loss

Loss is a natural part of life, but knowing this doesn’t relieve the grief we feel when a loved one dies. For people who are grieving, a support group may be able to offer assistance in managing their grief.

The University of Kansas Health System’s Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice is offering an 8-week grief support group. The group will meet on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 beginning February 20 in Great Bend. Sessions will be held each Tuesday through April 16, except March 12.

The course is led by trained grief counselors who will provide access to valuable resources to help you work through the many emotions grief brings. Because grief has no time limit, this support group is for anyone experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one.

The grief support group will meet at 3717 6th St. in Great Bend. For more information, call 620-792-8171.
